Mario Finds Our Pumpkin at local farm, Erlebnisbauernhof Gertrudenhof
In Germany, Halloween isn't as big of a deal as it is in America; we nonetheless have continued to celebrate all the Holiday Traditions that we know and love, in addition to introducing new ones to Mario. One of my favorite Halloween traditions is going to a pumpkin patch to find our family's pumpkin and carving a jack-o-lantern with Mario. This year we discovered a local farm, Erlebnisbauernhof Gertrudenhof, that had a pumpkin patch and a petting zoo, play areas for kids, food stands and fresh organic produce. We spent the entire afternoon there because we not only picked our pumpkin, but Mario had a blast running around and playing while we ate a delicious lunch and grocery shopped. It was truly a wonderful discovery.
