Mario was exhausted this past weekend after a long first week of Pre-School. He hasn't napped for months, but on Saturday when we took a walk to Mission Dolores Park – Helen Diller Playground he fell asleep in his stroller. My husband and I decided to take a long walk and stop for a light brunch to let him sleep - we knew he needed it.
On Sunday we went for brunch in our neighborhood at Gaslamp Cafe, then we went looking for a big boy bed for Mario. He was hilarious lying on the beds in the furniture store to try them out - I actually thought he was going to fall asleep in a few of the beds. But no nap yesterday, though he was a little fussy wanting to get in and out of his stroller every other block - he couldn't decide if he wanted to walk or be strolled (I think he wanted to walk to stay awake, but alas he would get too tired and go back in his stroller). Mario was happiest when we stopped at a construction site South of Market (or SoMa), he and his Dada were both excitedly pointing at all the trucks and tractors.
