We went to Monterey for the weekend and had an awesome day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I love the Aquarium and am inspired by the colors and beauty of the sea life and sea creatures; Mario loves it there too because there are sharks, penguins, lots of cool fish & creatures, touch pools, splashing zones, and a special tentacle exhibit with an octopus-- which was his favorite.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium opened on October 20, 1984 at the site of the old Hovden Cannery after the sardine fishery collapsed. Today, almost 30 years after opening, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is a window to the wonders of the ocean and showcases sea creatures and sea life from one of the world's richest marine regions. More than 35,000 creatures representing over 550 species fill 34 major galleries, with nearly 200 exhibits in all.
The Aquarium is amazing and a must see if you are ever in Monterey. Until then, here are some photos of me and Mario's favorite sea creatures, and of course a few photos of Mario with his usual Swag! Statement Graphic Tees and Slouchy Sweatpants (Kira Kids "Going Back to Cali" T-Shirt, Beau Loves Slouchy Sweatpants, and after playing in the splashing zone I had to change his T-Shirt to his favourite J.Crew "Fast on the Field" T-Shirt which is no longer available but I love this one from J.Crew).
