I am swooning over the new Autumn/Winter collection designed by Karen Brost. Karen is an American illustrator and fashion designer married to a Brit and living in London with their two small children, Coco and Ava. Her designs are cool with beautiful artisan imagery, and sizes are from 0-4 years. If only I could shrink Mario, he could wear one Karen Brost's designs - I especially love Grace's Sweatshirt - Foxy Roxy.
Wild Things, the new Autumn/Winter collection, shows the evolution of Karen Brost's signature style into new witty imagery, shapes and textiles. My favorite new designs are the Coco’s Cardigan and Grace’s Sweatshirt made in the softest fleece, and the Honey Bunny Jumpsuit, topped with hand-made soft pom-pom ears. This monochrome collection is super minimal & polished in its design; and uses metallic gold as punctuation, captivating the story of the fairy-tale imagery - the Alice in Wonderland twist is never far from Karen Brost's graphics. All the illustrations are unique to the collection, are limited editions, and are designed in–house; all designs are made in England and printed using safe, organic water-based inks.
The new Karen Brost Wild Things Autumn/Winter collection is available at Liberty of London, Selfridges, alexandalexa.com, Fred Segal Los Angeles, and karenbrost.com. Here are my favorite images/designs from the collection... Enjoy...
